Electrochemical Activity of Pure and Sn-Doped CeO<sub>2</sub> Nanoparticles using Simple Chemical Precipitation Method

In the present work, pure and Sn-doped CeO2 nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized by chemical precipitation method calcined at 400 ºC for 4 h. Characterization of NPs was done through X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-visible, photoluminescence (PL), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy high-resolution electron microscope (HRTEM) techniques. The XRD study revealed crystalline nature, size, structure prepared NPs. HRTEM results illustrated cubic structure. UV–visible PL studies used to measure optical behaviors UV-visible showed that bandgap value increased from 3.61 3.65 eV different doping concentrations. exhibited size reduced 11.03 7.91 nm. From TEM analysis, average undoped 10% calculated as 9.3 7 nm, respectively. A cyclic voltammetric confirmed a higher specific capacitance than CeO2. observed excellent redox oxidation behavior Sn-CeO2 study. significant enhancement in suggested is promising material supercapacitor applications.
